(Military officer) Nguyễn Khánh was a South Vietnamese military officer and Army of the Republic of Vietnam general. He served as head of state and prime minister of South Vietnam during his leadership of a military junta from January 1964 to February 1965. Khánh played a significant role in various coup attempts in South Vietnam between 1960 and 1965. Following his defeat and exile from the country in 1965, he lived in the United States until his passing in 2013 at the age of 85.
