Dave Concepción, a Venezuelan professional baseball player and manager, had a distinguished career with the Cincinnati Reds in Major League Baseball. Throughout his time with the team, he was a nine-time All-Star, earned five Gold Glove Awards, and received two Silver Slugger Awards. Concepción's partnership with Joe Morgan in the middle infield was highly successful, and he was even named the MVP of the 1982 All-Star Game. In recognition of his contributions, he was inducted into the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame in 2000, and the team retired his uniform number 13 in 2007.
