Mehmed IV

Mehmed IV, also known as Mehmed the Hunter, ruled as the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire from 1648 to 1687. He came to power after a coup at a young age and presided over the empire's resurgence in the Köprülü era. Under his leadership, the Ottoman Empire expanded its territories in Europe through military victories. Mehmed was hailed as a gazi, or "holy warrior," due to his military successes and the political stability he brought to the empire. Despite facing challenges, his reign was defined by his piety and successful conquests until his eventual overthrow in 1687.
