Aemilianus

Description: (Roman Emperor)
Aemilianus, also known as Marcus Aemilius Aemilianus, briefly ruled as Roman emperor in 253 for three months. Prior to his short reign, he led the Moesian troops and won a significant victory against the invading Goths. His troops declared him emperor, leading him to swiftly move to Roman Italy and defeat Emperor Trebonianus Gallus at the Battle of Interamna Nahars. However, Aemilianus was later killed by his own men after another general, Valerian, challenged his rule with a larger army.
