(Geologist, Politician) Sospeter Mwijarubi Muhongo is a Tanzanian geologist who has been a nominated member of the Tanzanian Parliament. He served as the Minister of Energy and Minerals from May 2012 to January 2015. Muhongo resigned following the Tegeta escrow scandal. He was elected to represent the parliamentary constituency of Musoma Rural and was later reappointed to his ministerial position by President John Magufuli.
