(Politician, Economist) Philip Isdor Mpango is a Tanzanian economist and politician who currently serves as the Vice-President of the United Republic of Tanzania. He assumed office on 31 March 2021 after receiving unanimous approval from the Tanzanian Parliament. Before his current position, he held the role of Minister of Finance and Planning in the Tanzanian Cabinet from March 2015 to March 2021. Mpango is known for his expertise in economic affairs and his substantial contributions to the financial and planning domains of the Tanzanian government.
