Bi Kidude, also known as Fatuma binti Baraka, was a celebrated Tanzanian Taarab singer from Zanzibar, often referred to as the "queen of Taarab and Unyago music." Drawing inspiration from Siti binti Saad, she had a distinguished career that garnered international acclaim for her significant contributions to Zanzibar's music and culture. Bi Kidude was recognized as the oldest touring singer worldwide and was honored with the prestigious WOMEX award in 2005 for her exceptional achievements in music. Her life was also documented in two films by filmmaker Andrew Jones.
