(Syrian Poet and Diplomat) Omar Abu Risha was a Syrian poet and diplomat. He served as the fourth ambassador of Syria to the USA from 1961 to 1964. He also served as ambassador to Brazil, Argentina, Austria, India, and Chile. Best remembered for his pioneering works, Omar Abu Risha wrote several volumes of poetic dramas and poetry.
