(Swiss Former Alpine skier) Paul Accola, a Swiss former Alpine skier, enjoyed a successful career highlighted by winning the overall World Cup in 1992 and achieving seven world cup victories. He also secured four medals in the combined event at the Winter Olympics and World Championships. In 2002, Accola suffered a serious ankle injury that forced him to retire in 2005 after nearly two decades in the sport. His accomplishments include numerous podium finishes and representing Switzerland at five Olympics.
