(Former Swiss Track and Field Athlete) Werner Günthör, a former Swiss track and field athlete, had a remarkable career. He excelled as a shot putter, securing numerous World Championships and a European Championship title. At the 1988 Summer Olympics, he clinched a bronze medal. Günthör's personal best throw of 22.75 meters remains the Swiss record. Besides shot put, he also explored bobsleigh. Moving from a sanitation installer to a sports enthusiast, he currently serves as a sport teacher and track and field coach.
