Sidiga Washi was a distinguished Sudanese academic renowned for her expertise in population studies, reproductive health, and nutrition. She held the position of professor in family and consumer sciences/community nutrition at Ahfad University for Women in Sudan. Throughout her career, Washi has also served in various leadership roles at the university, including as dean of the School of Family/Health Sciences and director of nutrition and health research and training. Currently, she plays a key role as the director of quality assurance and institutional assessment at the university, where her contributions have greatly influenced the fields of nutrition and health research in Sudan.
