Chamari Atapattu

Chamari Atapattu, also known as Chamari Athapaththu, is a well-known Sri Lankan cricketer who currently leads the women's Twenty20 International team. She is the tenth captain of Sri Lanka's women's national cricket team and received the Women's Cricketer of the Year award for the 2016–17 season. Chamari created history by becoming the first Sri Lankan woman to participate in franchise cricket. In recognition of her accomplishments, a special seating area at the Sydney Cricket Ground was named the Chamari Bay in her honor.
