Isaipriya, also known as Shoba Dharmaraja, was a Sri Lankan Tamil journalist and television broadcaster who worked for the rebel group Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE). She gained recognition for her reporting and broadcasting efforts during the Sri Lankan Civil War. Tragically, her professional life came to an end in 2009 when she was taken into custody by the Sri Lankan military in the closing stages of the conflict. Her capture, torture, and subsequent murder were captured in video evidence that was verified by senior UN officials, Amnesty International, and Human Rights Watch.
