Starting her acting journey at a young age, Sukumari received acclaim for her artistic contributions, including the prestigious Padma Shri award in 2003. Her talent was recognized with the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the Tamil movie "Namma Gramam" in 2010. Sukumari passed away in 2013 from a heart attack.
