(Sri Lankan Cricket Coach and Former Cricketer) Marvan Atapattu is a former Sri Lankan cricketer, coach, and commentator. Renowned for his exceptional technical skills, he represented Sri Lanka for 17 years and achieved the remarkable feat of scoring six double centuries in Test cricket. Atapattu led the Sri Lankan team to victory in the 2004 Asia Cup and was a member of the squad that clinched the 1996 Cricket World Cup. He has further contributed to the sport by coaching the national teams of Canada and Singapore, as well as serving as the head coach of the Sri Lankan Cricket Team from April 2014 to September 2015.
