Sanath Jayasuriya, a former Sri Lankan cricketer and captain, is widely considered one of the greatest all-rounders in ODI cricket history. Renowned for his explosive batting, powerful striking, and match-winning performances, Jayasuriya transformed one-day international cricket with his aggressive playing style. He played a pivotal role in Sri Lanka's 1996 Cricket World Cup triumph and holds the record for scoring over 10,000 runs and taking more than 300 wickets in ODIs. Jayasuriya also enjoyed success as a cricket administrator and briefly dabbled in politics.
