Francisco "Paco" Gento López was a renowned Spanish footballer recognized for his speed and skill as an outside left. Starting his career at Racing Santander, he later joined Real Madrid, where he enjoyed significant success. Gento made a record eight appearances in European Cup finals, winning six of them, and earned 12 La Liga titles. With 43 caps for Spain, he participated in two World Cups. Honored as the greatest Spanish footballer by IFFHS, Gento went on to become the Honorary President of Real Madrid.
