(South Korean Retired and Olympic Gold Medalist) Jeon Ki-young, a retired judoka, had a remarkable career marked by great success in the –78 kg and –86 kg divisions. He won three consecutive world championships and six world cup titles. His most significant accomplishment was securing the gold medal in the men's middleweight division at the 1996 Olympics, where he emerged victorious in all matches with ippon finishes. Jeon decided to retire at the young age of 25, having never been defeated in Olympic or world championship contests. Despite receiving offers to transition to MMA, he opted not to continue competing in the sport.
