(South Korean Archer and Olympic Gold Medalist) Kim Soo-nyung is a renowned former South Korean Olympic archer, known for her impressive performance in the 1988, 1992, and 2000 Olympic Games. She holds a total of four gold medals in the Olympics, one for the individual event in 1988 and three for the team event in 1988, 1992, and 2000. Additionally, she earned a silver medal in 1992 and a bronze in 2000 for the individual events. After a break following the 1992 Olympics, Kim made a comeback in 1999 in preparation for the 2000 Summer Olympics. Over her career, she amassed numerous medals in various competitions, including the Asian Games and World Championships. In recognition of her outstanding achievements, Kim was named the Female Archer of the 20th Century by the International Archery Federation in 2011.
