Margaret Harriman

Margaret Harriman, a Paralympic athlete from South Africa, began competing in sports in 1949 under her maiden name of Margaret Webb. She participated in various sports at the Summer Paralympics from 1960 to 1976, representing Rhodesia and later South Africa. Harriman excelled in archery, winning a total of eleven gold medals during her Paralympic career. Despite South Africa's ban in 1976 due to apartheid policies, she returned in 1996 and secured a bronze medal in Lawn Bowls, marking her 17th and final Paralympic medal.
