Primož Trubar

Primož Trubar was a key figure in the introduction of The Reformation in Slovenia. He authored the first Slovene language printed book and founded the Protestant Church of the Duchy of Carniola. Trubar's efforts in consolidating the Slovenian language were significant, making him a crucial figure in Slovenian history. Despite opposition from the Austrian Habsburgs during the Counter-Reformation, he led a small Protestant community that managed to survive under his leadership.
