Shirley Gbujama

Madam Shirley Yema Gbujama is a highly esteemed Sierra Leonean politician who has held key cabinet positions, including minister for foreign affairs, minister of social welfare, minister of tourism and culture, and minister of gender and children’s affairs. She is recognized as one of the most respected and longest-serving cabinet ministers in President Ahmad Tejan Kabbah's administration. Gbujama started her career as a school teacher and later obtained a Master of Arts degree in mathematics in New York City. Additionally, she has represented Sierra Leone as ambassador to Ethiopia, Tanzania, Zambia, and the United Nations.
