Stefan Uroš IV Dušan, also known as Dušan the Mighty, ruled as King of Serbia and Emperor of the Serbs, Greeks, Bulgarians, and Albanians. He expanded his empire throughout southeast Europe, transforming Serbia into a dominant force. Dušan's reign was characterized by prosperity and cultural progress, highlighted by the introduction of Dušan's Code, promotion of the Serbian Church, and the construction of key religious landmarks. Following his unexpected passing, the Serbian Empire began to disintegrate.
