Douglas James Henshall is a Scottish actor who has a number of plays, television shows, and film credits under his belt. Starting his career in the British police procedural television series ‘The Bill’, he has travelled a long way to create a niche for himself in the entertainment industry. His performances as Professor Nick Cutter in the British science fiction series ‘Primeval’ and Jimmy Perez in the crime drama ‘Shetland’ have earned him widespread acclaim. He is also well known for his different roles in British TV. In 2000, he bagged the award for the best actor in a miniseries at The Monte-Carlo TV Festival for his role as Alex Letts, a father trying to cope with his son who has ADHD, in ‘Kid in the Corner’. In the same year, he also won a Palmare Award for Best Television Actor for the TV Series ‘Psychos’, in which he played Dr. Daniel Nash.
