Prince Nayef bin Abdullah attended Victoria College in Alexandria and received military training in Turkey. He served as the honorary Aide-de-Camp of the Turkish President Ismet Inönü. Nayef became regent of Jordan in 1951 after the assassination of King Abdullah and ruled until his older half-brother King Talal was ready to resume his duties. He held various responsibilities in Jordan until his passing in 1983.
