Ashraf Fayadh is an artist and poet who is recognized for his contributions to the British-Arabian arts organization, Edge of Arabia. He has curated exhibitions featuring Saudi art in both Europe and Saudi Arabia. In 2015, he was embroiled in a highly publicized legal case where he was sentenced to death for apostasy, a ruling that was eventually reduced to an eight-year prison sentence along with 800 lashes.
