William Archila

William Archila, a highly regarded Latino poet and writer, immigrated to the United States from El Salvador in 1980. He established himself as an English teacher and later obtained an MFA from the University of Oregon. Archila's writing has appeared in many esteemed literary journals, and his debut poetry collection, The Art of Exile, was released in 2009. He gained acclaim for his manuscript The Gravedigger's Archeology, which won the Letras Latinas/Red Hen Poetry Prize in 2013.
