Prince Nicholas of Romania

Prince Nicholas of Romania acted as a regent for his young nephew King Michael I after the passing of his father. He held this position until his older brother Prince Carol assumed the throne as King of Romania. However, he was later removed from his roles and sent into exile from the Royal Court because of objections to his marriage. In King Michael's subsequent reign, Nicholas was known as Nicholas of Hohenzollern. He passed away in exile in Madrid, Spain.
