Sanda Toma is a retired Romanian rower who excelled in single sculls, winning the world title in 1979 and 1981, as well as an Olympic gold medal in 1980. Toma's dominance in the single sculls event led to her being named Romanian Sportsperson of the Year three times consecutively.
