Cătălina Ponor is a retired Romanian artistic gymnast known for her remarkable success in the sport. Throughout her career, she participated in three Summer Olympic Games and garnered multiple gold, silver, and bronze medals. Notably, she secured three gold medals at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens and achieved further success at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Ponor's excellence extended to World Championships and European Championships, where she accumulated a total of 23 Olympic, World, and European medals, including 12 gold medals. Her outstanding contributions to gymnastics led to her induction into the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame in 2022.
