Anuel AA is a Puerto Rican rapper regarded as an avant-garde of the Latin trap movement. He developed interest in music at an early age and being son of José Gazmey, the then vice president of Sony Music in Puerto Rico, helped Anuel in getting an early break in the field. He first garnered attention with the hit ‘Esclava’ with Bryant Myers and furthered his fame with his first single hit ‘Sola’. Over the years he has collaborated with several artists like Ozuna, and Jory Boy. Anuel fell on the wrong side of law and faced gun possession charges leading him to receive a prison sentence. Since his arrest, his huge fan base started the #FreeAnuel movement for his release. While being incarcerated, Anuel managed to release his tracks and upon his release from prison, he came up with his first full-length album ‘Real Hasta La Muerte’ that moved atop the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart within 24 hours of its release.
