(Neurologist) António Egas Moniz, a prominent Portuguese neurologist, is renowned for his groundbreaking contributions to the field. He developed cerebral angiography, advanced modern psychosurgery, and notably pioneered the surgical technique known as lobotomy, for which he was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1949.
