Maria Faustyna Kowalska was a Polish Catholic sister and mystic renowned for her dedication to the Divine Mercy. She entered a convent in Warsaw at a young age and later resided in Płock and Vilnius. In Vilnius, she collaborated with Father Michał Sopoćko, her confessor, to promote the Divine Mercy devotion. Together, they oversaw the creation of the first Divine Mercy image inspired by her visions of Jesus. She was later canonized as a saint by the Catholic Church and is honored as the "Apostle of Divine Mercy."
