Martyna Majok is a Polish-born American playwright known for her politically engaged plays that feature dark humor and innovative structures. She received the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for Drama for her work on Cost of Living. Majok studied playwriting at both the Yale School of Drama and Juilliard School. Her notable plays include Ironbound (2014), Cost of Living (2016), Queens (2018), and Sanctuary City (2021). She has gained widespread acclaim for her diverse writing style and is currently working on adapting The Great Gatsby for the Broadway stage.
