Description:
(Peruvian Chronicler and Writer) Inca Garcilaso de la Vega was a renowned chronicler and writer from the Viceroyalty of Peru. He journeyed to Spain at a young age and received informal education there. Vega is celebrated for his writings on Inca history, culture, and society, which were esteemed and influential across Europe. He relocated to Spain in pursuit of official recognition as his father's son and remained there for the rest of his life. Vega's works extensively cover Inca culture, the Spanish conquest, and De Soto's expedition in Florida, making him the first American-born author to be included in the western canon.
