Hind al-Husseini

Hind al-Husseini was a respected Palestinian educator and social worker who devoted her life to assisting vulnerable children, particularly orphans, through offering shelter, support, and education. In 1948, she established the Arab Children's House in Jerusalem to support orphaned and disadvantaged Palestinian children. Al-Husseini set up a Board of Trustees to manage the institution's expansion and progress. Her lasting impact includes founding the Hind al-Husseini College for Women in 1982 and receiving accolades for her remarkable achievements in social work and education.
