Baldwin V

Description: (King)
Baldwin V served as the king of Jerusalem, initially reigning alongside his uncle Baldwin IV and later as the sole ruler after his uncle's death. His uncle's inability to have children due to leprosy led to Baldwin V being chosen as the successor. He was crowned as co-king to prevent his stepfather, Guy of Lusignan, from taking power. Count Raymond III of Tripoli managed the government during Baldwin V's reign. Baldwin V's sudden death paved the way for his mother, Sibylla, to become the queen and appoint Guy as the new king.
