Muin Bseiso

Mu'in Bseiso, a notable Palestinian poet, had a prolific literary career that began with his contributions to the magazine Al-Hurriya in 1946. He continued his literary journey by enrolling at the American University in Cairo and graduating in 1952. Bseiso authored multiple volumes of poetry, including "Palestine in the Heart" and "Trees Die Standing." Throughout his life, he faced periods of imprisonment in Egyptian jails in Gaza, yet he also received prestigious awards such as the Afro-Asian Lotus Prize for Literature. Additionally, Bseiso held the position of vice Editor in Chief at the Lotus magazine and was honored with the Palestinian Dir' Al-Thawra.
