Zuheir Mohsen, an Arab of Palestinian origin, was a prominent figure in the Ba'athist As-Sa'iqa faction of the PLO. He rose to leadership after supporting Hafez al-Assad's takeover in Syria and was involved in the National Command of the Ba'ath Party. Mohsen played an active role during the Jordanian occupation of the West Bank and dedicated his professional life to leadership within the PLO and the Palestinian cause.
