Stella Maxwell is an Irish–New Zealander model, best known as a “Victoria’s Secret Angel.” Stella was born into an Irish family in Belgium and was the youngest of the four children of her parents. Her father worked as a diplomat. When Stella was 14, she and her family moved to New Zealand. Following her high-school graduation, she attended the ‘University of Otago,’ where she was spotted by a modeling agent who worked in Dunedin. She began modeling in 2008. She worked with the designer brand ‘Alexander McQueen’ and appeared in magazines such as ‘Vogue’ and ‘Elle’ in the initial phase of her career. Her biggest breakthrough came in 2014, when she was selected as a “Victoria’s Secret Angel,” considered one of the biggest achievements for models across the globe. She thus began her stint as a “Victoria’s Secret Angel” in 2015. Throughout her career, she has walked the ramp for successful designers such as Tommy Hilfiger, Brandon Maxwell, Marc Jacobs, and Tory Burch. She has also collaborated with a French fashion brand named ‘The Kooples,’ promoting a handbag line named after her.
