Kim Chon-hae

Kim Chon-hae was a notable Zainichi Korean who played pivotal roles in Japan and North Korea. He was a prominent member of the Japanese Communist Party and established the pro-communist Chōren, which eventually transformed into the present-day Chongryon. Kim's influence steered the organization towards leftist beliefs. Subsequently, he relocated to North Korea and assumed important positions within the Workers' Party of Korea, influencing the political direction of the group until his passing in 1969.
