(Politician, Military commander) Choe Hyon, also known as Sai Ken, was a prominent North Korean general and politician who played a significant role in the anti-Japanese resistance and the Korean People's Army. He was a key military leader in the armed resistance in Manchuria and led troops in the Battle of Pochonbo. Despite Kim Il Sung being chosen as the leader of North Korea, Choe held important positions in the military and politics, including commanding the KPA II Corps during the Korean War and serving as Minister of People's Armed Forces.
