Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi is a Nigerian politician who has held various prominent positions in government. He served as the federal minister of transportation of Nigeria from 2015 to 2022 under President Muhammadu Buhari's administration. Prior to this, he was the governor of Rivers State and also served as the speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly. Amaechi recently resigned from his ministerial position to contest for the presidency under the All Progressive Congress (APC) and has declared his interest to run in the 2023 presidential election.
