Hamish Carter

Hamish Clive Carter ONZM is a former New Zealand triathlete known for his successful career in the sport. Carter competed on the International Triathlon Union World Cup circuit as a professional, winning twelve ITU world cup races. He won the bronze medal at the 2002 Commonwealth Games and achieved gold at the 2004 Summer Olympics, narrowly defeating Bevan Docherty. Carter also won silver at the World Championships in 2006 and the Xterra World Championship in Maui, Hawaii. He retired in 2007 after a highly accomplished career.
