(New Zealand Motor Racing Driver) Chris Amon was a highly skilled New Zealand motor racing driver known for his impressive career in Formula One during the 1960s and 1970s. Despite not winning a championship Grand Prix, he was considered one of the best F1 drivers. Amon faced consistent bad luck throughout his career but was praised for his exceptional test-driving abilities by Ferrari's Mauro Forghieri. He also briefly managed his own Formula One team and achieved success in sports car racing, winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1966 with Bruce McLaren.
