(Poet) Madhav Prasad Ghimire was a renowned Nepali poet and scholar, honored as the Rashtrakavi (National Poet) by the Government of Nepal in 2003. Over his 86-year literary career, he created epic poems, plays, essays, and popular songs. Ghimire also held positions as Vice Chancellor and Chancellor of the Royal Nepal Academy, contributed to literary publications, and received prestigious awards such as the Order of Gorkha Dakshina Bahu, Tribhuwan Pragya Puraskar, and Sajha Puraskar.
