Romain Saïss is a professional footballer who currently plays for Al Sadd in the Qatar Stars League as a centre-back or defensive midfielder. He began his career at Valence and later played for Le Havre, Clermont, and Angers in France before joining Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2016. Following over 200 appearances and 15 goals for Wolves, he transferred to Beşiktaş in 2021. Saïss holds both French and Moroccan nationalities and has represented Morocco internationally, earning more than 80 caps and becoming captain in 2019. He has participated in numerous Africa Cup of Nations and FIFA World Cup tournaments, achieving a fourth-place finish at the 2022 World Cup.
