Following the Xinhai Revolution, he became the khan of the Bogd Khaganate, leading the region to de facto independence from the Qing dynasty. Revered as the "Bogdo Lama," he held a significant position in the Tibetan Buddhist hierarchy, ranking third after the Dalai Lama and Panchen Lama. Bogd Khan played a pivotal role in guiding and shaping the spiritual practices and beliefs of his followers.
