Gloria Trevi is a Mexican singer, songwriter, and occasional actress. She began her career with the solo album ‘¿Qué Hago Aquí?’. It was a commercial success, selling more than two million copies, and peaked at the number one position across Latin America as well. Her next album ‘Tu Ángel de la Guarda’ was also a success with the popular hit ‘Pelo Suelto’. Though the album kindled some controversy, it was commercially profitable, selling around a million and a half copies. She earned a lot of fame within a short time but her career fell apart when she and her manager were accused of corrupting minors and sexually abusing and kidnapping them as well. Though they fled Mexico, they were later found and arrested in Brazil. After her release, Trevi attempted to revive her career with the album ‘Cómo Nace el Universo.’ Other than music, she is also known for playing a leading role in the Mexican TV series ‘Libre para amarte’.
