He eventually rose to become Philip's primary military lieutenant and Alexander's top military general, playing a pivotal role in numerous conquests. Parmenion was highly regarded for his exceptional leadership and military expertise. Unfortunately, his professional career came to a tragic end when he was assassinated after his son Philotas was convicted of treason. Additionally, Parmenion's siblings, Asander and Agathon, also held significant positions in Alexander's Macedonia.
